Getting Ready for the City Competition

This Thursday, the school radio station tells us some exciting news. All students in Grade 7 are busy getting ready for(为……做准备) the City Speech Competition. We work hard every day to make our own stories wonderful.

Last year, our school won the fifth place. This year, we want to do better again. We practice speaking(演讲) again and again. We talk to each other and help one another. We learn about how to speak clearly(清楚地) and bravely(勇敢地).

Our teachers say we can break a record. We will not forget to try our best. Everyone in our school is proud of us. We hope we can win a gold medal and make a new story for our school.
