Tom is a new member of the school football team. He loves football, but he is very nervous(紧张) on his first day. His teammates(队友们) are all friendly and kind to him.

In the first game, Tom gets the ball. He runs fast… but he forgets which goal is his! He kicks(踢) the ball into his own team’s goal. “Oops!” Everyone laughs. But his teammates don’t get angry. They pat(轻拍) his back and say, “Good try, Tom!”

Later, Tom gets the ball again. This time, he runs the right way and scores a real goal for the team. All the people cheer loudly. Tom is so happy. He learns a lesson: It’s okay to make mistakes. The most important thing is to have fun with friends!
