The School Wishing Tree

At our school’s New Year celebration, we created a special wishing tree. Each student made paper leaves and wrote their hopes for 

the year ahead. Some wished for academic success, like “I’m going to study harder in math,” while others dreamed of personal 

growth, such as “I want to learn to play the guitar.” The teacher helped us attach the leaves to a branch in the classroom. Seeing the 

tree fill up with colorful wishes made everyone feel excited about the future. It wasn’t just a decoration—it reminded us that dreams 

can grow when we nurture them.
